The Belt and Road/South-South Cooperation on Agricultural Education, Science and Technology Innovation League (BRSSCAL), initiated and founded by China Agricultural University in Beijing in June 2018, is the biggest comprehensive cooperation platform for agricultural education, science and technology in the world. The first batch of its members entails 40 Chinese universities specializing in agriculture and forestry, including Huazhong Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Northwest A&F University, together with 30 agricultural higher education institutions distributed along the Belt and Road, represented by Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel) and Kasetsart University (Thailand). BRSSCAL now has a total number of 74 member universities from 31 countries with the official joining of the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) in October 2019.
