On June 22, China Agricultural University held the founding ceremony of the Belt and Road/South-South Cooperation Agricultural Education, Science and Technology Innovation League and The 2018 Belt and Road & China-Africa Forum for Agricultural Policies in Beijing. The first 40 Chinese universities specializing in agriculture and forestry including China Agricultural University, Huazhong Agricultural University and Nanjing Agricultural University, as well as 30 agricultural higher education institutions along the Belt and Road, represented by Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Kyrgyz National Agricultural University, and 200 representatives including presidents from the above-mentioned Chinese and foreign universities, attended the conference.
China Agricultural University and other 10 universities, including Tarim University (China), Kyrgyz National Agricultural University (Kirghizstan), Hainan University (China), Royal University of Agriculture (Cambodia), University of Tirana (Albania), University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (Romania), Poznan University of Life Sciences (Poland), Jilin Agricultural University (China), University of Tirana (Albania), signed 5 bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements, focusing on jointly building agricultural education, science and technology innovation centers and further expanding demonstration zones by relying on cooperation centers with great development potentials.
